Meet Charles Vethan, Attorney/Mediator

Mr. Vethan works to put the piece back together from a seemingly irreparable situation.

Houston business attorney, Charles M.R. Vethan, earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas, and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Alberta, Canada. Mr. Vethan served as an editor for the International Lawyer as well as authored articles on international letters of credit and the role of insurance defense counsel in complex litigation matters, and Implied Licenses in Copyrights. He also presented courses, through the National Business Institute, to attorneys and CPAs on corporate structure and governance. 

 Mr. Vethan is Board Certified in Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell , an independent rating agency of attorneys in North America. The AV Preeminent rating is awarded to attorneys with very high to preeminent legal ability, expertise, and professionalism in their field of practice.

Mr. Vethan’s area of practice is in complex trials in the United States federal district courts and state courts involving shareholder / partnership disputes, executive employment litigation, Non-Compete Agreements, business to business contract disputes, corporate law, and intellectual property law (copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, non-disclosures).  He has been lead counsel in complex litigation matters involving Shell Oil Company, Ralph Parsons Engineering, Union Oil of California, Sentinel Integrity Solutions, Global Check Services and Mossberg Shotguns, litigating cases in Texas, California, Colorado and Florida.  Mr. Vethan’s primary practice focus is representing aggressively growing privately held companies, with a business presence throughout the Southwest United States and abroad.
